In this edition of the Middle School Radio Road Show

Lincoln Middle School Student Council Radio Project -- Meriden, CT
  • A tour of our school
  • A survey of student opinion on how to improve our school
  • HOT Topic:  How to create a safe school where we can thrive.
  • Interview with our Principal, Leo Lavallee
  • Assessing our Radio Project
This radio show was produced by six members of the Lincoln Middle School Student Council.  These students met for two hours once a week (January through March) with Teaching Artist Richard Hill to learn about how to communicate to their school community and to the world-at-large through the medium of radio.  In addition to learning about the role of media in our society, the students learned how to conduct interviews, surveyed their fellow students for their suggestions on how to improve their school, and brainstormed about the importance of creating a culture of kindness in their school community.
Enjoy their great work!
Special thanks to the Connecticut Office of Culture and Tourism for their support.
